New Story’s In District Services provide an array of services to school districts including special education, applied behavioral analysis (ABA) therapy, mental health services, professional development, and consultation. Our Roles

Special Education Teacher

As a Special Education Teacher, you will play an integral role in the success of your students while managing all functions within your classroom. You will be a critical element in creating a dynamic partnership between parents, students, staff and the school district for the provision of a safe, therapeutic, and specialized education environment that addresses the social, emotional and educational needs of students. At New Story In District Services, you will guide students through a unique education journey and will change their lives in a sustainable way.

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) you will deliver customized and targeted consultative services, including assessment, strategic behavioral planning, and in-school support designed to strengthen the quality of special education services. Using evidence-based practices you will support children and young adults to learn new skills and improve behaviors. The BCBA is the clinical leader and provides oversight and direction to Registered Behavior Technicians and/or Behavior Support team members. At New Story In District Services, your knowledge and experience are valued, and your contributions make a difference in the lives of students and their families.

Behavior Technicians

As a Behavior Technician or Registered Behavior Technician, you will implement ABA treatment programs and support children and young adults in gaining new skills and reducing challenging behaviors. You will work in a collaborative in-school setting under the direction of a Clinical Supervisor. At New Story In District Services, you will be at the heart of positive change and will impact the lives of students and their families.

Mental Health Clinicians

As a Mental Health Clinician, you will help students gain insight into their difficulties and facilitate change by providing individual therapy and crisis intervention counseling. You will collaborate closely with educators and administrators in an in-school setting and will play an integral role in students’ educational success and social and emotional health. Melanie Kells is the Vice President of Community Partnerships, driving the growth of strong and sustained programs in school districts across the country. Melanie is a dedicated professional with a profound commitment to enhancing the lives of individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Melanie has 15 years of experience in behavioral services in both direct service and administrative functions.

“My passion for this work is driven in part by my brother, who lives with severe autism and epilepsy. I want to create a better world for him, and people like him, creating opportunities where all individuals can grow, develop, and achieve success.”
