Applied Behavioral Services in West Chester seeking a qualified Intervention Specialist to provide support and consultative services to children in the ABS center. This support and educational oversight may be provided in an educational oversight (consultative) model, a 1:1, 1:2, or small group setting within the agency or community following ABA methods and procedures and to facilitate peer interactions when appropriate. This may include monitoring children during lunch duties, recess or other non-instructional times, as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide intervention services to contract students as prescribed in contract, and ODE students as prescribed
  • Provide direct teaching to scholarship students, both in a pull out or a push in scenario
  • Provide educational coverage to classrooms as needed
  • Provide consultative intervention specialist services across all classrooms, serving as the educational expert of the site
  • Provide direct modeling and training of methods to staff members in classrooms
  • Create and follow a center wide schedule for observations and lesson planning
  • Consult with Ancillary services on scholarship cases to incorporate any recommended goals into the treatment program
  • Consult monthly with classroom Supervisory team and discuss any needs or recommendations for the educational program
  • Facilitate the organization and maintenance of instructional areas
  • Prepare educational materials for each level of students, creating a proper framework by functioning level or grade level
  • Work with leadership to identify, and administer proper education assessments to students
  • Work with the leadership to identify and administer proper curriculum and learning materials
  • Provide training on educational materials as needed to groups of staff or individual staff members
  • Complete all state testing requirement for students in a timely manner, throughout the school year
  • Provide complete and detailed documentation for interventions provided to a client as required to include but not limited to: Central Reach notes, progress reporting, IEP and ETR
  • Complete progress report sections for required for contract clients
  • Establish student portfolios and monitor quarterly for completion
  • Review and sign off on all written narrative reports
  • Consult on all Jon Peterson Special Needs scholarship clients, supervising all programming and providing direct intervention
  • Identify when education interventions are needed for specific clients
  • Manage home school packet process
  • Complete and upload assessments to ODE portal for Jon Peterson scholarship students

Licenses and Certifications

Required

Must hold a valid and current Intervention Specialist license issued by the Ohio Department of Education
