Sage Alliance, five private special education schools in Rochelle Park, Paramus, Mahwah, Boonton and Princeton, is seeking a Director of Community Outreach and Engagement to drive outreach strategy and build relationships with school districts and other community stakeholders to support the growth of, and enrollment in, Sage Alliance schools. Sage Alliance supports students in grades 4 through 12 within an integrated academic and therapeutic environment, providing a mix of scholastic engagement, emotional support and medical consultation. Education is a partnership that involves student and family. Psychiatrists, therapists, learning strategists and certified educational staff, as well as the student's school district and our community partnerships, surround the student in an ongoing, student-centered process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cultivate deep understanding, awareness, and capacity to explain Sage Alliance philosophy, mission, beliefs, activities, events, and unique aspects of each site and service
  • Develop and grow community-based relationships and keep Sage Alliance and Administration apprised of new contacts and opportunities
  • Coordinate Sage Alliance presence at professional conferences, school district county/regional school professional meetings (e.g. Directors meetings, SAC meetings, etc.) and other monthly networking events (Children’s Interagency Coordinating Council, County Special Education Directors meetings)
  • Build and sustain relationships with County Children’s System of Care organizations
  • Develop and update leads and contacts and coordinate with Administrators to ensure follow up on leads
  • Assess monthly lead conversions, (inquiry vs. visits vs. enrolled)
  • Develop and maintain relationships with current and prospective school districts including creating a data base of New Jersey school districts, identifying districts unaware of Sage Alliance schools, schedule tours and meet and greet with school administration
  • Document all outreach in HubSpot for lead tracking
  • Educate community about Sage Alliance schools and services, including schools, events and host professional development opportunities
  • Educate community about laws, policies and procedures that support placement in accredited schools
  • In collaboration with Marketing and Communications Department, drive attendance and participation at Sage Alliance in school and in community events
  • Advise Administrators on emerging community and school district needs and trends
  • Prepare weekly report of activities and plans for next steps including goals of monthly contacts
  • Evaluate community partnership to extend program development initiatives and resource to current student base
  • Design and implement new internal/external campaigns to grow enrollment by increasing traffic into campus buildings including community partnership enhancement strategies
  • Lead the development and execution of field content materials highlighting schools and clinic locations used across a variety of channels including blogs, social media, and the website
  • Maintain, update, and distribute marketing and social media calendars within established timeframes
  • Work in collaboration with Operations, Business Development, and Human Resources to support state and regional marketing, outreach and communications strategies

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES 

  • Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have experience developing project plans with detailed timelines and meeting deadlines
  • Must have strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Must work in a team environment
  • Must display professional appearance and demeanor
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be located in the state or region this position is assigned
