Sage Alliance

Sage Alliance High School in Boonton, NJ is seeking a part-time Associate Teacher to teach and mentor students in grades 8 through 12 with social and emotional challenges. You will play an integral role in the success of our students while providing classroom support, co-teaching, and leading instruction as needed to facilitate the learning and social-emotional growth of students. You will be a critical element in our mission to create a dynamic partnership between parents, students, staff and school districts for the provision of a safe, therapeutic, and highly academic environment. This is a part-time position (20 to 25 hours per week). 7:30 am to 11:30 am or 12:30 pm. Start date August 30, 2023. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists in planning and implementing instructional strategies that address the learning needs of the students.
• Provides individualized instruction and works with small groups of students.
• Completes clerical duties as assigned by the teacher.
• Assists students with various projects and curriculum tasks.
• Supervises students during co-curricular activities, arrival, dismissal, lunch periods, and field trips.
• Helps teachers and students maintain and manage equipment and instructional materials.
• Serves as a substitute during the absence of a cooperating teacher.
• Assumes lead teaching responsibilities as needed.
