Your Role as a Maintenance Technician:
Perform Building & Grounds Maintenance – Conduct routine and preventative maintenance to ensure all facilities and exterior grounds remain safe, clean, and fully operational.
Respond to Facility Repairs – Address structural, plumbing, and electrical needs including drywall repairs, basic carpentry, minor plumbing fixes, and lighting replacements.
Maintain Outdoor Spaces – Carry out landscaping duties such as mowing, trimming, weeding, and maintaining playground mulch levels to support a safe and welcoming environment.
Support Safety & Compliance – Inspect facilities for potential hazards and take proactive measures to resolve safety issues in accordance with established protocols.
Manage Emergency Systems – Monitor and replace emergency lighting, exit signs, and door entry battery units to maintain full functionality at all times.
Complete Painting & Finishing Projects – Execute assigned painting jobs throughout the building to maintain a professional and well-kept appearance.
Provide Custodial Support – Deliver custodial services as needed and serve as the on-site liaison for external vendors performing maintenance or repair work.
Travel Between Locations – Regularly travel to various school sites as needed to fulfill maintenance requests and project assignments across regions.
Required Qualifications:
- You have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- You have skills and documented experience in the facilities and grounds maintenance as identified in the prior section.
- You’re a strong team player who listens well and communicates clearly, that’s the collaborative mindset we value.
- You have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
