Your Role as Chief Administrator
- Lead School Operations – Oversee clinical and academic programming, including IEPs, ensuring alignment with state guidelines and school policies.
- Drive Strategic Initiatives – Develop and implement policies that foster student success, staff development, and school growth.
- Supervise & Mentor Staff – Provide leadership and supervision to educators, clinicians, and administrative teams, drawing on your experience managing distributed teams and cross-functional collaboration.
- Oversee Student Support Services – Ensure delivery of therapeutic, academic, and behavioral interventions tailored to individual student needs.
- Manage Crisis Response – Serve as the primary decision-maker in emergency situations, leveraging your background in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care.
- Foster Family & Community Engagement – Build strong partnerships with families, districts, and community organizations to support student well-being.
- Ensure Compliance & Accreditation – Maintain NEASC accreditation and ensure adherence to state and federal regulations.
- Monitor & Enhance Student Outcomes – Use data-driven strategies to track student progress and adjust interventions accordingly.
- Support Staff Development – Identify professional development opportunities and cultivate a high-performing, growth-oriented culture.
- Lead Recruitment & Hiring – Collaborate with HR and Talent Acquisition to attract and retain top-tier talent.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in Clinical Mental Health Counseling or related field (CAGS, LPCA).
- 5+ years of academic leadership experience, including oversight of school-based and therapeutic programs.
- 5+ years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and families in school and community settings.
- Proven ability to supervise clinicians, manage compliance documentation, and lead professional development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with operational leadership and an ability to lead teams in a therapeutic or special education setting, particularly with middle and high school populations.
- Strong understanding of State of CT regulations in SPED along with AISEP’s and Accreditation policies and Procedures (NEASC)
- Experience with CBT, psychodynamic therapy, and trauma-informed practices.
