Your Role as an Elementary Teacher 

• Collaborate and Support: Work with team members, paraprofessionals, support staff, and parents to implement services and foster an inclusive, collaborative environment.

• Lead and Teach: Provide classroom leadership and may teach multiple subjects based on student needs.

• Ensure Student Well-Being: Maintain confidentiality and manage challenging behaviors using appropriate support plans.

• Monitor and Advocate: Track student progress, adjust instructional strategies, and advocate for students’ rights and needs, especially those with disabilities.

• Create Positive Learning Spaces: Build engaging, supportive classrooms where all students can thrive.

Role Requirements 

• Must hold an active PA teaching certification, such as a Private Academic Certificate, Level I or II Pennsylvania Instructional Certification. 
• All River Rock teachers must have their PA teaching license in place by August 1st.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship.
