Your Role as Clinical Director
- Conduct Specialized Assessments – Perform FEAS (Functional Emotional Assessment Scale) evaluations to inform individualized programming for students.
- Lead Research Initiatives – Participate as a member of the IRB Committee and Research Team to support evidence-based practices within the school community.
- Provide Family Education & Training – Deliver training sessions and resources to families to support student development and strengthen home-school collaboration.
- Collaborate Across Teams – Attend and actively participate in classroom meetings, child review meetings, clinical team meetings, staff trainings, TA meetings, and Greenspan meetings to promote integrated care.
- Coordinate School-Wide Professional Development – Organize and provide inservice and educational opportunities for staff to support continuous learning and best practices.
- Support Clinical and Related Service Teams – Supervise clinical and related service departments, including Floortime therapy teams. Coordinate and manage clinical and related service caseloads to ensure balanced, effective student support.
- Facilitate Greenspan Case Conferences – Lead discussions and planning sessions focused on student development using the DIRFloortime® framework.
- Foster External Collaboration – Partner with the DIR/ICDL Conference community to advance training and research initiatives.
- Maintain Professional Growth – Stay current through regular participation in staff development programs, continuing education, and professional trainings.
- Support the School Community – Assist as needed with broader school operations, including student bussing supervision and field trip leadership.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree or Doctorate in a clinical field (Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, Speech-Language Pathology)
- DIR Expert Training Leader certification, with experience leading DIRFloortime® trainings
- Proficient in administering the FEAS assessment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with students, families, staff, and the wider community
Preferred Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of the DIRFloortime® model
- Experience working with individuals with neurodevelopmental delays
