Join Green Tree School & Services (GTS), an Approved Private School (APS) providing specialized, full-time out-of-district placements for students with emotional and autism support needs. Your Role as a Special Education Supervisor:

  • Instructional Support & Coaching: Model and promote research-based instructional practices that improve student outcomes and classroom environments. Provide ongoing professional development for teachers and paraprofessionals through individual and group learning opportunities.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Act as a liaison among students, teachers, administrators, and families, fostering clear communication and strong collaboration to support student success.
  • Instructional Design & Technology Integration: Assist special education teachers in making data-informed, culturally responsive instructional decisions. Provide guidance on curriculum software and classroom technologies to enhance instruction.
  • Special Education Compliance & Support: Guide teaching teams and families in understanding special education laws and compliance requirements. Support the development of compliant IEPs, including measurable goals, assessments, data systems, and documentation.
  • Quality Assurance & Service Coordination: Monitor and provide quality assurance for IEP development. Collaborate with related service providers (e.g., OT, PT, speech therapy) to ensure student needs are met.
  • School Culture & Continuous Improvement: Promote a positive, achievement-oriented school culture aligned with GTSS’s mission. Facilitate collaborative reflection and planning with teaching teams to drive continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Expertise in classroom management and crisis intervention
  • Skilled in lesson plan development and overall classroom management strategies
  • Proficient in using student information systems (SIS) for data tracking and documentation
  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field (required)
  • Master’s degree in Special Education (preferred)
