Sage Alliance, a private therapeutic high school in Paramus, NJ, is seeking a qualified Physical Education and Health Teacher to provide our students with a comprehensive wellness component that promotes the connection between physical activity and mental health. Your Role as a Special Education Teacher (2025- 2026 SY)

  • Instruction & Consistency– Deliver engaging lessons at assigned locations and times, ensuring structure and continuity.
  • Classroom Environment– Foster a supportive and emotionally safe learning space that meets the unique needs of emotionally fragile students.
  • Student Learning– Guide instruction to align with Sage Alliance curriculum goals, adapting to individual student abilities, interests, and developmental levels.
  • Clear Expectations– Set and communicate clear learning objectives for lessons, units, and projects to ensure student understanding.
  • Instructional Methods– Utilize diverse teaching strategies and resources, adapting to available space, technology, and student needs.
  • Educational Philosophy- Uphold Sage Alliance’s mission through effective instruction and alignment with established goals and expectations.
  • Student Progress– Regularly monitor student performance, provide timely assessments and reports, and engage parents to support student success.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant teaching experience.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Strong ability to engage effectively with students, families, and staff.
  • Emotional Intelligence: Active listening skills and the ability to support students’ individual needs with empathy.
  • Classroom Environment: Ability to foster a positive, professional school atmosphere with patience and adaptability.
