Your Role as an Instructional Coach:
- Establish Collaborative Coaching Approach – Implement research-based, student-centered instructional practices.
- Collaborate on Data-Driven School Improvement – Work with the school leadership team to evaluate student data in support of effective school improvement planning.
- Mentor Teachers Through Coaching – Provide non-evaluative, non-judgmental coaching that builds self-directedness and internal capacity for planning, self-assessment, and reflection.
- Align Instruction with Standards and Curriculum – Support teachers in aligning their lesson plans with appropriate core subject standards, adopted curriculum materials, and assessments.
- Enhance Digital-Age Teaching and Learning – Help sustain dynamic, digital-age teaching and learning environments that provide engaging education for teachers and students.
- Travel to School Locations – Routinely visit school campuses within the Central PA region (Reading, Lancaster, Carlisle, New Cumberland, Harrisburg, & Kutztown).
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in special education, or related field.
- Current, valid PA Instructional II Special Education certification.
- Must be willing to travel to included campuses within the Central PA region.
Preferred (Nice to Have) Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years teaching in a special education classroom.
