Teacher Assistant at Sage Alliance Lower & Middle School
Sage Alliance Lower & Middle School in Mahwah, NJ is seeking a Teaching Assistant to provide classroom assistance to students. Sage Alliance is a private therapeutic school that serves the academic and clinical needs of students in grades 4 to 8 with social and emotional challenges in a nurturing and supportive environment. As a Teaching Assistant here, you will work with individual and small groups of students to provide them with academic help and emotional support to gain optimum benefit from the Sage Alliance program.

- Compensation: $22 to $25 per hour, based on education and experience

Job Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with the parents, staff, and students.
- Facilitate development of online resources.
- Facilitate meeting dates, times and personnel.
- Manages and orders school-wide classroom/office materials.
- Completes quarterly tuition billing.
- Manages and completes staff and student schedules (PowerSchool)
- Completes staff and student attendance.
- Works collaboratively with parents.
- Works collaboratively with sending school districts (sends quarterly grades, progress reports, etc.)
- Assists with annual fiscal audit and Department of Education Audit.
- Other duties as identified by the Head of School, CFO and Executive Director.
Qualifications:
- At least 18 years of age.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
- A genuine passion for working with children, along with patience and compassion.
Preferred/Nice to have:
- Experience working with children with special needs or autism through volunteer work, employment, or other relevant experiences.
