New Story Schools provides special education for students ages 5-22 in grades K-12 across Pennsylvania and Ohio. We offer small class sizes, individualized learning plans, and use evidence-based strategies through our team of educators, behavior analysts, and therapists to help students overcome challenges and achieve their goals.

Job Responsibilities:
- Complete daily and ongoing maintenance responsibilities and be able to prioritize quickly
- Meet with vendors and/or contractors as necessary to discuss maintenance needs
- Communicate effectively with administration, staff, parents, students and vendors
- Handle minor repairs, including plumbing, electrical, drywall and carpentry
- Open doors and classrooms, and clean areas throughout the school
- Understand standards and regulations, and be prepared for scheduled or unplanned inspections
- Set up tables and chairs in gym or elsewhere for meetings/events; return room to normal
- Painting, organizing and maintaining storage areas, monthly fire drills, monthly safety walks
- Perform ad hoc duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance/general repair services
- Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and parents
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
