Director of Curriculum Instruction and Assessment

New Story School in Mountville, PA is seeking a qualified Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment to provide leadership in the development and improvement of the entire curriculum, instruction, and assessment programming.  Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment will work toward developing evidence-based frameworks and practices which best support the needs of the students we serve.

Must have at least 5 years of supervisor/leadership experience with a MEd in Curriculum and Instruction

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists organizational leadership in planning and implementing of effective programs of curriculum, instruction, supervision, and assessment.
  • Inform leadership about the latest education technology and research tools for improving our curriculum, instruction, and assessment systems and practices.
  • Engage in ongoing evaluation of the effectiveness of the instructional program.
  • Provide guidance in selection and use of instructional materials aligned to curriculum.
  • Provides leadership in planning and conducting data driven curriculum studies.
  • Provides coordination and leadership for staff development activities for teachers and staff.
  • Works with teachers in preparation of curriculum and materials
  • Assists principals and teacher in the organization and presentation of instruction.
  • Provides teachers with assistance toward solution of instructional problems.
  • Observes teachers and provides feedback to the teacher and principal.
  • Provides support and coaching to building principals in the improvement process
  • Assists in the review of school improvement plans.
  • Coordinates textbook and other curriculum resource inventory and distribution
  • Reviews and evaluates curriculum alignment with the assessment program.
