Rebecca School is seeking a Nurse for the 2024 school year to work with students age 3 to 21 with neurodevelopmental delays in relating, communicating and thinking. As a Nurse, you will play an integral role in the success of our students, with responsibility for overseeing and implementing the health program in the school. Rebecca School utilizes the DIRFloortime method, a relationship-based model of teaching instruction developed by Dr. Stanley Greenspan, offering a safe and nurturing environment for students and families.
Pay Range is $60,000 to $70,000 depending on degree and experience (based on a 12-month position).
RESPONSIBILITIES | WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Deliver health services including medication administration and management and advocate for the health rights of children

Focus on the needs of the individual student as well as the entire student population

Collect and organize annual medical forms for students and staff; maintain confidentiality
- Administer care for staff and student incidents; complete required forms and contact parents/guardians as necessary
- Maintain necessary medical equipment and supplies
- Be available for medical emergencies
- Complete reports as mandated by city and state agencies
- Knowledge and implementation of Department of Health rules regarding illness of children and staff
- Provide in-services on relevant medical topics
- Maintain professional competence by attending staff development programs and continuing education programs
QUALIFICATIONS | WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- Valid NYS License and State Certification
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with students, staff and parent
