Campus Director

River Rock Academy in the  Lycoming Area in PA is seeking a qualified Campus Director to be responsible for the day-to-day operations and ensure appropriate long-term planning for each school year. The Campus Director will also provide leadership, promote high academic and behavioral standards amongst students, and serve as a resource for students, families, and staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervises staff and daily operations to assure adherence to all established school policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and maintain curriculum standards, develop mission statements, and set performance goals and objectives
  • Assures proper maintenance of educational and counseling documentation/records.
  • Prevent and protect the academic instructional time from unnecessary interruptions.
  • Responsible for scheduling of staff and activities consistent with all regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Assists in preparation of campus budget.
  • Observes teaching methods and examines learning materials to evaluate and standardize curricula and teaching techniques, and determines areas where improvement is needed
  • Assures adequate materials, supplies and equipment are available to effectively perform daily operations.
  • Report’s student status and progress to directors, appropriate agencies, parents, and other appropriate sources.
  • Responsible for all transportation to include scheduling, safety, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Maintains compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  • Collects data, monitors and continuously improves quality of service outcome indicators, including quality indicator data.
  • Counsels and provides guidance to students regarding personal, academic, vocational, or behavioral issues – In addition to responding to and managing behavioral crisis situations
  • Builds and maintains relationships with students and stakeholders that are positive and professional.
  • Responsible for public health & safety of the school

  • Understands and follows the established policies and procedures of River Rock Academy
  • Willing to take on new assignments; shows initiative.
  • Maintains good attendance, is punctual daily.
  • Attends all required program meetings and organizational trainings.
  • Is respectful of and appropriately maintains the organization’s facilities, equipment, and supplies.
  • Always maintains confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability) and FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act).
  • Demonstrates knowledge of applicable requirements governing mandated child abuse/neglect reporting requirements.  Reports and suspected abuse or neglect as required by law; maintains required certifications.
  • Completes all work in established timelines.

  • Self-directed and well organized with the ability to handle multiple priorities and focus on issues that will most contribute to the growth and success of River Rock Academy.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, and coordination of people and resources.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree or Doctoral degree, preferred
  • Previous experience with special education, school administration and supervision endorsement.
