School Psychologist

Aaron School is a private special education school in Manhattan that provides integrated academic, enrichment, and therapeutic services to students with learning differences, with the goal of enabling them to become confident and successful learners. Aaron School is seeking a School Psychologist at its 30th Street location (8th – 12th). Offering an academically rigorous curriculum aligned with the New York State Learning Standards, Aaron employs an individualized approach to ensure student achievement while preparing them for post-secondary educational experiences and professional careers.
Salary range $62,000 to $67,500 (10-month position)


Full Time Mental Health Provider (School Psychologist/Social Worker) Grades 8-12

  • Manages an individual and “check-in” counseling caseload
  • Teaches related services classes and builds curriculum that target social skills development and transition
    • Facilitates social development groups for students across grade levels
    • Assists with student behavior management, generates individual behavior plans as needed, and works closely with all faculty on behavior intervention
    • Leads a Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS) team of faculty to assist with integration of PBIS into academic settings and the school community as a whole
    • Facilitates weekly Case Study Meetings on individual students, and with faculty support, will generate an action plan to promote success in school both in the classroom and socially
    • Regularly collaborates with faculty and the administrative team regarding any significant social/emotional issues pertaining to students


  • Masters Degree required
  • Certified School Psychologist
