Project Coordinator

The Project Coordinator is an experienced individual who assists the project team to meet project objectives and stakeholder’s expectations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, to budget and to the required quality standard. The Project Coordinator directly contributes to the organization’s growth and success by leading multiple, concurrent projects from inception through successful launch.


  • Manages small to medium sized projects in terms of timeline and budget under the guidance of a Sr. Project Manager/PMO leader.
  • Follows PMO Project Playbook for all phases of project
  • Drafts required project artifacts for approval by PMO & Project Sponsor (charter, schedule, stakeholder register, etc)
  • Updates weekly status reporting (PowerPoint), enters project tasks & deadlines (Smartsheet), delivers project communications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Oversees and communicates status on adherence to project schedule, working closely with PMO leadership to ensure that all project tasks and critical path activities are captured.
  • Facilitates project team meetings regarding risks, decisions, and holds team members accountable to established project deliverables.
  • Assists with administrative project tasks as part of the project team (e.g. writing and editing documentation, scheduling meetings, writing meeting minutes, quality testing of deliverables)
  • Keeps PMO and Project Sponsors informed of any violations to agreed upon project constraints (scope, timeline, budget, resources, quality). Writes Change Orders to obtain formal decisions from project leadership prior to proceeding.


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Preferred: previous experience as a project coordinator or executive assistant
  • Preferred: formal education / training / coursework related to project management
